Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions will be part of the contract between the customer and B17 Enterprises Ltd.
B17 Enterprises Ltd is registered in England, company no.11859727. Our registered office address is: 171 Clifton Road, Shefford, Bedfordshire SG17 5AG.
1. Contract of Sale
All orders that you place on this website will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. When you place an order to purchase B17 products, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order, with the details of your order.
The final acceptance of your order will be complete at the time we send you a Dispatch Confirmation email.
The ownership remains with B17 Enterprises Ltd. until the complete payment of the order has been made.
2. Prices & Availability
All prices are given in Pound Sterling (£). Prices may change and offers may be withdrawn at any time. The prices do not include delivery charges which are added to your order at checkout.
All displayed products are subject to availability - we do display real time stock information on our website, however, we also take orders offline and so we cannot always guarantee availability of items.
3. Delivery Charges
Mainland UK delivery
Delivery cost is £5.00 for orders up to and including £75 within UK mainland but currently not Northern Ireland. We offer FREE delivery within UK mainland for orders that are over £75.
Currently we do not ship to Europe (inc. Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland), or to the Rest of the World through the Online Shop. If you have a requirement for products, please email B17 Enterprises Ltd on
4. Payment Terms
Full payment must be received for your order before it is dispatched. While every effort is made to send complete orders, we reserve the right to make part deliveries.
6. Display on the Website
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the appearances, colours, textures or finishes of our products that appear on the website. What you see will depend on your monitor; we are therefore unable to guarantee that the product images are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.
All products are sold as one piece and the price displayed is for one unit, unless otherwise stated in the product name that the product is a set and contains multiple pieces.
7. Other
We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. If any of these Terms and Conditions are invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall continue to have full force and effect.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
UK Standard Delivery
We usually dispatch orders within 3-5 working days. Please note our dispatch times do sometimes increase during busy periods. Standard delivery orders are sent via 2nd Class Royal Mail.
International Delivery
We currently cannot offer delivery outside the UK mainland but please email
Returns
Items which are damaged, faulty, or incorrect must be returned within 30 days of receipt. This applies online only.
If your item is faulty, damaged or not as expected, please contact us first, either by email on
If you change your mind about an item, the initial postage and packing charge, and any further costs incurred in returning the item, is non-refundable. Please return the item together with your reason for return and we will process the refund/exchange within 72 hours.
Working with Education and Training
The B17 Steam Locomotive Trust is unique among new-builds, with resources in pilot with Secondary Schools to encourage students to study engineering and design.
In addition, in the short time since moving our manufacturing base to Sheffield, we have developed links to Sheffield University's Faculty of Engineering, providing their undergraduate students with a project based on a B17 for their Group Design Project. Not only that, but we are working with the team from Sheffield University, headed by Jacob Whittle, regarding the Institute of Mechanical Engineers Railway Challenge 2021.
B17 Online Shop
The following items have been designed and selected by The B17 Steam Locomotive Trust, to help promote the Trust’s aims to build the new B17 class locomotive 61673 ‘Spirit of Sandringham’; all profit from the sales will go towards that goal. These items are available at the numerous events that the Trust has around the country; please see the events page for the next event near you.

This is about keeping your data safe.
The B17 Steam Locomotive Trust (the Trust) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information and this will apply to its members, sponsors, donors and supporters.
When you become a member of the Trust, make a donation or subscribe to our mailing list the information which you provide to us – which may include your name, postal and/or email address, phone number and membership subscription and/or donation payment details – is used and retained by us for the purposes of providing the most efficient service for you and the Trust consistently with the furtherance of the Trust’s objectives. We may also send you information about future events, fund-raising appeals and other activities which may be of interest. We may also ask you about your skills which we could make use of to benefit the Trust’s activities.
PRIVACY POLICY
Our approach to your privacy is based on the legitimate interest basis of the GDPR and operates in accordance with the following principles: –
- Security – Information which you disclose to us will be stored only on a password-protected database, which could be located on international third party servers. All efforts have been taken to confirm that all third parties meet the requirements of GDPR and the Privacy Shield Agreement.
- Communications – We will communicate with you either by email, letter or telephone. Email unless encrypted is not a fully secure means of communication. However, we do endeavour to keep our systems and communications protected against viruses and other harmful effects but we cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus free.
- Limited information – We will hold only such information as is required to provide the services which you have requested.
- Non-disclosure – We will not disclose any information which you give us to third parties.
- Your right to opt-out – Any consent which you have given for the use of your information may be withdrawn by you at any time by contacting the Trust in writing.
- Annual Review – We review the data which we hold on an annual basis to determine whether it is still appropriate for us to keep it. If you do not respond to our communications for three years, we will not contact you further unless you ask to be included in our communications, subject to any legal requirements such as those governing Gift Aid regulations (which require us to retain records for seven years).
How we use your personal data
The personal information which you provide to us is used principally for the following purposes:-
- processing your membership or donation
- sending you information relating to our activities
- subject to your consent sharing your name, email address or telephone number with the other members of the Trust. Please note that the Trust itself cannot be responsible for the security of your data when held as such by such other members.
- updating you about changes to our website
Your rights
You can at any time:-
- withdraw any consent which you have given relating to your personal data
- ask us to correct any inaccuracies in your personal data
- ask us to stop processing your personal data either in some respects or altogether and/or to erase it
- ask us for a copy of your personal data
- lodge a complaint relating to the use of your personal data with the Information Commissioner’s Office or the Fundraising Regulator.
